1．教学内容的针对性与适用性

本课程所选教材是教育部评选的优秀教材，坚持《高职高专教育英语课程教学基本要求（试行）》中提出的“以应用为目的，实用为主，够用为度”的原则，所选编的教学内容紧扣交际主题，实用，每单元的听说读写译各项技能的学习和训练围绕一个实用主题进行。选用的教学内容具有典型性、和拓展性，符合学生的实际英语水平；选材由易到难，题材多样，能激发学生兴趣、开阔学生视野、拓展学生思维方式，提升学生跨文化交际能力。

2、课程内容

本课程采用《新视野英语教程》（外语教育研究出版社）第一、二、三册。考虑到课时有限，实际教学以精读综合教程和听说教程为主，语法和快速阅读穿插在精读教学中，其他泛读内容由教师指导学生课外阅读。周学时为4学时，每学期的总课时为60学时，共计180学时。基础班8学时完成一个单元的授课任务，每学期共进行7个单元；综合班7学时完成一个单元的授课任务，每学期共进行8个单元。教学内容及课时安排如下：

3、教学实施建议

在教学过程中，以学生为中心，加强语言实践能力方面的培养，突出应用。以精读课文为中心，开展听、说、读、写、译的教学活动，使学生打下扎实的语言基础，培养学生的英语应用能力。着重培养学生的英语听说能力，侧重英语学习的实用性。灵活运用各种教学方法，调动学生的积极性，同时培养学生的自主学习能力。
